Kaire Arte Capri
The Cultural Association Kaire Arte Capri was born in 2008 from the will of young professionals in the field of Cultural Heritage to promote and enhance the archaeological, historical, artistic and naturalistic heritage of the island of Capri and its surroundings. To this end, the Association proposes various cultural initiatives aimed at Italian and foreign guests, and residents of the island with thematic routes, guided tours for groups or individuals customizable and upon request.
The "Premio Faraglioni"
The "Premio Faraglioni" is an award conceived and organized by the "Pro Loco Arte di Capri", an association which has been dedicated for many years to the promotion and dissemination of art and culture on Capri. Capri - Hollywood Film Festival
Every December since 1991, Capri has hosted an international festival dedicated to the cinema.
The 22nd Capri, Hollywood International Film Festival takes place Dec. 26, 2017 to Jan. 2, 2018. The upcoming edition is dedicated to Elizabeth Taylor.
Oscar-winner Alessandro Bertolazzi will chair the 22nd edition of the festival.
Trudie Styler has been named Capri, Hollywood’s person of the year for her work as a human rights and environmental activist.

Capri-Naples - Swimming Marathon
In 1949 Aldo Fioravanti and Cesare Alfieri, two passionate swimmers, were the first ones to cover the distance from Naples to Capri island in around 12 hours, at an average of 30 strokes per minute.
Capri-Napoli is one of the most fascinating and difficult competition until 1992 awarding long distance world title, now the crossing swimming race Capri-Napoli is a “FINA World Grand Prix” leg over a distance of 36 km as the crow file distance.
The Gulf of Naples has always been the suggestive “playing field” of this contest starting normally from Marina Grande (Capri) and finishing to the sea-front in Naples assigning the World title until 1992.
For the winners, the race lasts about 6 hours and 11 minutes and 6 hours and 45 minutes, according to sea and weather conditions.
The fascination of the sea marathons, much more tiring than the earth ones, just lies in the incredible effort going on for several hours in unnatural conditions.

Le Conversazioni is an international festival founded in 2006 by Antonio Monda and Davide Azzolini. Initially dedicated exclusively to literature, it’s field of interest and reflections has spread to other disciplines.
The Festival originated in Capri where still every summer events take place. Since 2009 New York City was added, 2014 Rome and in 2015 Bogotá. In 2015 also television transmissions were initiated with RAI (Italian Television), entitled Le Conversazioni/Close UP: the first guest was Meryl Streep.
During these years, Le Conversazioni has organized events at the Guggenheim, the MoMA, the Morgan Library and the New York Historical Society. Events in Bogotá take place as part of the prestigious FILBO Literary Festival, in Rome they are held in the Tapestry Salon in RAI, and in Capri in the unique backdrop of the Piazzetta Tragara.
The first eleven editions of Le Conversazioni hosted some of the most distinguished writers, architects, film directors, musicians and artists in the world, who have debated in Capri and Rome on the designated theme each year. In New York and Bogotá the focus instead is on the favorite films of each guest.

Notte di San Lorenzo (the Night of the Falling Stars) August 10
Each year for the Feast Day of San Lorenzo (also known as the Night of the Falling Stars), a live concert and firework display are held at Marina Grande, the port of the island of Capri. At the end of the outdoor concert, the crowd looks over the Mediterranean to watch the fireworks, which are fired off each year from a boat anchored in the bay.

"Le Note del Mare": Music and food on the beach at Marina Grande for the annual August bank holiday.

During the annual August 15th bank holiday, many Italian families and friends gather on the beach in the evening for the traditional "mellonata", or watermelon snack followed by a night dip in the sea.
This tradition is alive and well on Capri, and the beach at Marina Grande comes alive with music and festivities the night of August 15th, including samples of some of the most traditional dishes and products from the island.
At the end of the evening's festivities, the holiday is marked by a firework display.
